Principal's Message
TERM 2 SEMESTER 1
Bonjour à tous.
This morning we celebrated a very special morning for our grandparents and grandfriends. We began with a Mass in the St Laurence’s Church at 9:30am celebrating the vital role of grandparents and grandfriends in forming their grandchildren especially through sharing their endless wisdom gained from all life's experiences. We also remembered our grandparents who couldn't be with us as well as Jesus' special granparents - Joachim and Anne. It was a joy to see the Church filled to the brim. After Mass our grandparents and grandfriends were invited to visit our classrooms before being enjoying a scrumptious morning tea. We had 90 grandparents, grandfriends and parents visit the school and attend Mass. That is amazing.

On Thursday 30th July, 16 children from St Laurence's, St Josephs Korumburra & the Loch, Poowong and Mirboo North Parishes, will make the Sacrament of Confirmation. We congratulate all the children and invite families to attend the Mass and support our candidates, as they take this important step in their faith journey. Please keep these children in your prayers: Hannah, David, Fletcher, Julian, Winter, Matilda, Xavier S, Caleb A, Thomas, Peyton, Caleb C, Dallas, Ciara, Evie, Xavier M & Isabella.

Parent Teacher Interviews will be held on Tuesday 4th and Thursday 6th August. They will run for 10 minutes per session from 3.30-6pm. If you feel you will require a longer interview time, please make alternative arrangements with your child's teacher. Bookings will be via PAM - and will be opened on Monday for bookings. Please note that if your child is on a PLP (Personalised Learning Plan) and has PSG meetings, you do not need to make an interview time.
We are excited to share that our school has been successful in receiving a Sporting Schools Grant to support our gymnastics program during Term 3. Over the next 6 weeks in PE, we are once again able to offer our students from Prep to Grade 6, thanks to the Sporting Schools Program, a gymnastics program that will focus on developing students' confidence, coordination, strength and fundamental gymnastics skills. Together with Hayley, coaches from the Leongatha Gymnastics Club will be facilitating the program throughout the 6 week. We thank Leongatha Gymnastics Club for their time in assisting our students to have fun with and be gymnastics.
Merci,
Christy
