3/4W’s Term 3 Highlights
Stories, Swimming, and Smiles
This term our students joined in the school swimming program. They had lots of fun learning new skills in the pool and building their water confidence. From practicing different strokes to playing games, everyone gave it their best shot. It was a great experience that helped students stay active and enjoy time with their friends.
We also celebrated Book Week this term with a fun dress-up parade. Students came to school dressed as their favourite book characters, filling the day with colour, laughter, and creativity. It was wonderful to see so many different stories come to life and share our love of reading together. The parade was a highlight of the week and brought lots of smiles all around!
In English, we read the Book Week story How to Move a Zoo, which is based on a true event. After reading, students had the chance to get creative by choosing an animal and designing its enclosure, or by drawing a whole zoo filled with different animals. This activity let us use our imaginations while also thinking about what animals need to live happily and safely. The students really enjoyed combining reading with art and design.
