Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends! Welcome to Week 2 of Term 4

We would like to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the land, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation and pay our respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging.

What a great second week it has been! The theme for this week is “Space Week”. This week’s weather has been amazing, so we were able to utilise the oval. Children have had so much fun playing soccer and football, and some children just roam around the oval. Our afternoons wouldn’t be complete without arts and crafts activities - this week we created the planets, painted a star, and built an astronaut craft activity. We also created a galaxy key ring which the children loved doing. Also, it is amazing to see how creative children are through arts and crafts activities but also in the sandpit area where they made a huge sandcastle. Every morning, we played baseball, basketball, and soccer-matches, monopoly games, spoons, Guess Who board games and coloured in. 

Pupil of the Week

This week’s Pupil of the Week is Lily Huysman, for making sure that others are okay especially when they are hurt or upset. Well done, Lily!! You should be very proud of yourself. 

TC Tucker

TC Tucker is back this week! We will be having our TC Tucker recipe every Thursday for 4 weeks during this term so there will be a slight change to our afternoon tea menu every week. This week we had our wraps on Tuesday instead of having it on Thursday. Our TC Tucker recipe for this week is “Zingy Guacamole”, so we will be having our favourite nachos on Thursday instead of its normal day. Next Thursday, 24th of October, we will be having “CHEESECAKE” for afternoon tea as it is our TC Tucker recipe for next week. Children are already excited and looking forward to it! 

Lockdown Drill 

We would like to let all families know that on the 18th of October, before school care, we will be conducting our Lockdown drill. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to discuss them with us.
