Middle Sub School Leader 

Hello families and carers, 

During Weeks 7 and 8, students have continued to work on their individual learning goals across all subject areas. A highlight this week was our inflatable world incursion on Friday 28 November, where students practiced putting social skills in actions by sharing, taking turns and celebrating their contributions towards their houses.  

On Thursday 27 November, the Middle Sub School celebrated student achievements for 2025 during the awards ceremony.  This was a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge the efforts and achievements of all students and receive certificates. Kathleen Matthews-Ward, our local state member of parliament was in attendance to celebrate with us and give out awards. Everyone is exceptionally proud of the work middle students have put in this year towards all of their learning. Well done to all of the students!

Thank you to all families for your contributions during the recent SSG rounds. This round, for families unable to attend, teachers and leaders met to discuss student progress. These notes will be sent home. 

Transition week is coming up in Week 11. During this week, students will be in their 2026 Classrooms, meeting new classmates and teachers. Social stories will be sent home during Week 10, where students will find out their new classmates and teachers. We understand changes can be challenging for some students. We encourage families to consider if your child requires additional support with changes, and to contact the classroom teacher or myself to discuss strategies. 

A final note. I have written a lot about the weather sun protection in my newsletter articles. Thank you for your support in this area. It is great to see students doing their best to  wear hats, apply sunscreen and stay in shaded areas. This week I am asking families and carers to consider Sunsmart clothing for their child. ROOM 18

Hello everyone,

Room 18 have had a student teacher in the room to finish the year. He has been teaching a variety of lessons. The students have really responded well to Alex as you can see in the photographs.
