PRAYER
All powerful God,
Your eternal word took flesh on our
earth when the Virgin Mary
placed her life at the service of your plan.
Lift our minds in watchful hope to hear the
voice which announces His glory and open our
minds to receive the spirit who
prepares us for His coming.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
From the Principal
Dear Families,
During the first week of Advent our focus has been on the Old Testament prophets who foretold of Jesus’ coming with hope and anticipation. As we move into the second week our focus turns to peace, peace in our hearts and peace in our relationships with others. Advent is a time when we are reminded to slow down and reflect on our connection with others and with our faith.
This will be the last newsletter for 2025 and I take this opportunity to thank our dedicated staff for their ongoing commitment and dedication towards ensuring that every student has optimal learning experiences. I also extend my thanks to Father Dillon for his support and guidance in faith.
At the end of the year, we will say goodbye to two of our dedicated Learning Support Officers. After 16 years at our school, Antoinette (Ant) Egan is retiring. Her support of students and teachers in her time here has always been appreciated. We will also say good-bye to Ben Horsnaill. Ben joined us last year as a LSO and has supported each of the grades throughout his time here. We wish him well as he begins his new career.
Thank you to all families for the support that you offer in many ways. Educating children is always in partnership between the home and the school and we value the opportunity in being able to work together with you to support the students in all aspects of their school life.
Thank you to the members of the School Advisory Council including, Ashley M, Bernard M, Simone B, Justin H and Anthony N. Your ministry provides a valuable service to our school, and I have appreciated working with you again this year.
Thank you to the members of the Parents & Friends for supporting the school in the many ways throughout 2025. Angi H and Clara N, thank you for all you do to keep the tuckshop running so smoothly. The cooking, serving, shopping, and organising parent helpers is very much appreciated by many. Leon M, Justin H and Steve B, thank you for taking care of the mowing roster.
Thank you to our leaving families. This year we farewell the Cheng, Fernandes, Kwan, and Li families. We wish them all well for the future in new educational communities.
Best wishes,
Michelle Worcester
Principal
COLOUR RUN
The Colour Run will be held next Thursday 11th of December. Students will need to wear a white T Shirt- (so that the colour stands out). Non toxic coloured powder will be dispersed as the students run around an obstacle course. Please contact the office if you can assist with set up.
HOCKEY
The children have participated in a 4 week ‘Introduction to Hockey’ program, thanks to the Sporting Schools Grant. Children have enjoyed learning correct techniques, ball control and passing skills. It’s been great fun to play modified Hockey matches and score goals!
SCHOOL VEGIE PATCH
The produce in our Vegie Patch is growing beautifully thanks to the children’s hard work and Melbourne’s varied weather! Our P-2 children ate delicious school-grown strawberries, fresh from the garden! Our Gr 3-6 children will taste the next crop of strawberries, which will be ripe to pick in the coming days.

Tickets for the Christmas Raffle went home yesterday, cost of tickets- $2.00each or 3 for $5.00. Please return tickets and payment to the office by Friday 12th of December.
