Campaspe Senior Boys Cricket 

Senior Boys Cricket  

On Monday the 23rd of February, Thirteen of our Year 11 & 12 students went to Moon and Windridge ovals at Rochester to participate in the Campaspe Senior Boys Cricket tournament. 

In our first match, we came up against St Augustine’s from Kyabram. Rochester SC bowled first, and was able to bowl them out for 107 runs thanks to a good spread of bowling with multiple players getting wickets. We were then able to chase down St Aug’s 107 quickly thanks to two fantastic innings from Kade Pearse and Cale James. 

In the final match the team played St Joseph’s College, Echuca, again we bowled first, however the St Joes players batted very well against our bowlers, scoring a tough target to chase of 166. Unfortunately due to time constraints we had to finish our batting innings after just the 15 overs, and even with another great effort with the bat from Cale James we lost to St Joes on run rate. 

A massive thank you to all the students that participated, and in particular Mr Cuttriss on not only coaching/umpiring, but ensuring that both pitches were in good enough condition to play on.
