Good Afternoon Parents Students, Staff and Friends of Derinya,
As always, our school community continues to be shaped by the people, partnerships, and learning experiences that make this such a vibrant place for our students. I would like to share a few updates and highlights from across the school.
Farewell Ros
This week we say farewell to Mrs Rosslyn Rosenburg as she retires from education after commencing her teaching journey in 1981. Ros has been a valued member of our community. She has contributed greatly through her care, commitment, and willingness to support others, and she leaves behind a positive legacy that will be remembered by staff, students, and families alike. Most recently, Ros has worked as a tutor, supporting learning enhancement. Prior to this she has been a much-loved class teacher across 26 years of service to our community. Ros will certainly be missed and I would like to thank her for her incredible contribution to our school.

Colour Run
Excitement is building for our upcoming Colour Run — a highlight on the school calendar that brings energy, fun, and community spirit to life. Beyond being an enjoyable event for students, it also supports fundraising initiatives that directly benefit school programs and resources. We are well on the way to achieving a great result with our new playground a major goal for all of our fundraising efforts!
Curriculum Day
Our most recent curriculum day was a huge success with none other than CEO of Real Schools and media consultant Adam Voigt as our speaker. Staff were inspired through story and relevant and actionable strategies and techniques to support students to build long lasting positive relationships beyond their time with us in primary school.
Thank you, as always, for your ongoing partnership and support.
Warm regards,
Nadine on behalf of the Derinya community.
