AFL Report

The Year 7 Boys AFL Academy played Diamond Valley SC on Monday. It was a great contest that allowed our students to display a great deal of growth in  the elements we have been working on throughout our Academy sessions. The team started very well putting on a great deal of defensive pressure, whilst also using their skills and short 45 kicks when attacking. A very even first quarter led to St Helena trailing by 5 points at Quarter Time. In quarters 2 and 3, DV were able to get on top and at three quarter time we found ourselves down by 55 points. An 8 goal to 1 last quarter brought the Year 7's back and they almost snatched victory. The team represented the College really well, and the team were led by strong performances from Aslan Kan, Will Best and Dusty Marsh among others.
