Principal's Report

Term 4, Week 3

Dear Parents and Carers,

World Teachers Day

This Friday is World Teachers Day - a great opportunity to say thank you to the wonderful teachers here at St Francis Xavier's. We are so fortunate to have a group of such dedicated and talented teachers at our school who strive for the best for our students each and every day. I hope they all have a fantastic day on Friday!

2024 Kindergarten Transition Assembly

Today was the last day of transition for our 2024 Kindergarten class. They all did a wonderful job at their graduation assembly, performing the "Sid Shuffle"! Our Kinder graduates were presented with their certificate and their portfolio of work. We are looking forward to seeing them start big school in 2024!

New Primary Play Equipment

It will be very exciting next week to see our Primary Play Equipment being installed! Mrs Cath Nalder has done a brilliant job to raise funds, design and prepare for our new Ninja Course to be constructed throughout next week. I am sure it will be a wonderful addition to the playground and students will love playing on it for years to come. Monies raised at our P&F major fundraiser - the Crazy Colour Run - will be used for the construction of a shade sail over the new equipment.

Staff Announcement

It is with a great deal of sadness that I inform you that I have accepted a position as Head of Learning and Teaching in the Diocese of Wilcannia-Forbes commencing January 2024. Whilst this is a wonderful professional opportunity, it is extremely sad personally as I truly love being a part of the St Francis Xavier's School Community. I will continue through until the end of the year.  I am sure that there will be plenty of chances for me to say farewell to the school community before the end of the year.

In the meantime, recruitment for a new school Principal for 2024 and beyond will begin very soon. Rest assured, the great work already happening at St FX will continue into the future under the guidance of the new principal next year.

Have a great week!

Nick
