Last Thursday we welcomed slightly nervous but extremely excited Year 7 students into the Eltham High School Community.

Students spent the first two days focusing on getting to know Eltham High School; getting to know their new classmates, how to read timetables, and figuring out those pesky combination locks. After a very brief practice many students had mastered the locks and were able to help out peers (and the odd teacher!) who were struggling.

Year 7 assembly will be held every Tuesday morning in the gym during Involve time. This week's assembly was a perfect demonstration of students quickly moving into the space and listening to all the announcements with perfect manners. 

The Junior School team was surprised that there were no questions asked about why some students received a Chupa Chup lollipop... what was it that these students had that the others didn't? The mystery continues for now but we're sure students will figure this out soon enough! I wonder who will get a Chupa Chup next Tuesday...

A reminder that the student Wellbeing days will be held across Thursday and Friday this week and we look forward to including some student feedback in the next edition of the newsletter.
