OCTOBER - World Mission Month
Well done to all members of our Mini Vinnies team for coordinating our Cazy Sock and Hair Day last Friday. Overall it was an outstanding success raising over $240.
The students absolutely loved the Duct Tape the Staff Member to the Wall activity! Nearly all students participated, purchasing strips to firmly secure Mr. Hyatt to the wall for a fantastic cause. While the event was a huge success, Mr. Hyatt has already announced he plans to be out of town when we schedule the 2026 challenge!
Well-being Initiative
Research indicates that only a small number of students across Australia arrive at school ready to learn each day. We believe this is a challenge we can't ignore, and we want to do our part to change it.
On Monday, we launched a new initiative to help our students feel happy, positive, and ready to engage with their learning. We now start each school day with a 10-minute whole-school activity designed to welcome everyone with a smile:
- Mug Day Mondays - (Warm Milo) Proceeds to St Vincent De Paul Winter Appeal
- Tuesday Grooves (a 10-minute dance party)
- Yoga Flow Wednesdays
- Walk and Talk Thursdays (a stroll and a chat with friends)
- Fitness Friday (a whole-school aerobic session)
A huge thank you to Cian Cattelini for her wonderful leadership in making this happen.
