Congratulations Amberley!

I am very pleased to announce that the Foundation Citizen of the Term is Amberley.

Amberley is such a pleasure to teach and to be around every day. She has such a positive attitude to everything she does and an infectious personality that brightens everyone’s day. There is no doubt that she displays all our school values of Care, Respect, Excellence and Community.

Amberley walks into the classroom very confidently each morning where you are greeted with a big smile and there’s usually some sort of interesting story that follows not long after. is very easy to talk to and shares so many highlights of her life with both teachers and friends. No story is ever left untold but there’s something about the way Amberley tells them where we’re all captivated waiting eagerly to hear what happens next. Many teachers have mentioned how they’ve met Amberley out in the yard and that they’ve loved having a chat with her and described her as full of positive energy.

Amberley is an independent and organised learner who takes a lot of pride in the presentation of her work. She follows our school rules with ease. She is an active listener and happily waits her turn to speak. She will always give everything her best shot even if she find things a bit tricky. I’m impressed when Amberley asks questions if she isn’t sure of something.

Amberley is a very calm, patient, and friendly student who is always kind to anyone around her. She has a caring nature, is happy to help anyone in need and includes others when they might feel left out.  The other day, Amberley let the class and myself know that she saw a child, who was a bit bigger than her, sitting on the buddy bench looking sad. She said she felt brave, so she just said ‘hi’ to them. She couldn’t believe that just one word made that person smile straight away. I loved how it made Amberley feel good to be kind and realise how easy it is to make someone else feel better. Keep doing this, Amberley and keep sharing these wonderful stories, I admire you love for school life and look forward to seeing you continue to thrive.

Congratulations!

Piper shows our school values of care, respect, excellence and community in all that she does each day, from the moment she walks into the classroom ready to learn to when she leaves the classroom at the end of the day. She displays these qualities not only in our classroom, but during specialist classes and outside during play times as well.
