Principal's Message

Term 3 Wrap-Up
What a term it has been at Kismet Park!
Term 3 has been packed with learning, celebration and plenty of opportunities for our students to get involved. We celebrated Father’s Day, Book Week, 100 Days of Prep, Principal’s Day and another fantastic term of Kismet Kidlets. Our Scooter Club has also been a big hit, and it was great to see students and families involved in our whole-school planting day.
Our students have represented Kismet Park brilliantly across a huge range of sporting events, including the Rugby Gala Day, Division Athletics Carnival, Regional Netball and Summer Sports. A huge congratulations to everyone who competed and represented our school with pride.
Today we finished the term with our staff versus students basketball game, and congratulations to the students, who took the win by just two points! I am sure the staff will have plenty to say about that result next term.
We also reached an amazing 5,000 Kismets as a school, with students earning a well-deserved pizza reward today. This is a fantastic reflection of the positive choices our students continue to make every day.
Around the school, we have also seen plenty happening behind the scenes, including new fencing and gates, painting in Building C and the beginning of some exciting improvements to our grounds and facilities.
Looking ahead to Term 4, there is plenty still to come.
Our Grade 6 students will begin their final term at Kismet Park, with graduation preparations getting underway and their cohort photo taking place early in the term.
For our Grade 5 students, we will also begin the process of selecting our 2027 Student Leaders, giving students the opportunity to put themselves forward and demonstrate the qualities we expect from our school leaders.
We also have swimming for our Prep and Grade 1/2 students, Prep transition and Step Up Days, Kismet Kidlets Graduation, Year 6–7 Statewide Transition, Christmas Carols and, of course, our Year 6 Graduation.
Term 4 begins on Monday 5 October.
Thank you to our students, staff and families for another fantastic term. Enjoy the break, recharge the batteries and come back fired up and ready to go for a huge final term!
