Excursions and
In-School-Activities Wrap up
On Friday the 14th of March, the Year 7 and 8 students went for an excursion to the Geelong Tech School, which is part of The Gordon.
Whilst there, students were lucky enough to learn all about the use of drones to help emergency service areas, with a focus on search and rescue in a life saving scenario! The excursion was a practical, hands on experience where students firstly got to develop their own model lifesaving device to drop from a drone, and then got to learn how to use a drone and guide it through a challenging obstacle course!
All students had an amazing time and showed incredible Care, Commitment and Collaboration! It is safe to say that we may have some future drone controllers in our class with many of them having very specific skills and mastering the obstacle course with ease!
