Support for Caitlyn Hogan
At the heart of our College community is a commitment to care for one another through both joy and hardship. Recently, Caitlyn Hogan, one of our incredible staff members, experienced the devastating loss of their family home due to a house fire.
We understand that every family is in a different financial position and has varying capacities to give. Please know that there is absolutely no obligation to contribute. The Hogan family is deeply grateful for your prayers and encouragement during this difficult time, and they trust in God's faithfulness, generosity, and love. We serve a God who hears our prayers and provides comfort and strength in times of need.

PVCC student takes second place at Young ICT Explorers Victoria
Congratulations to Joel (Year 10), who placed second in the Victorian judging event of Young ICT Explorers, a national not-for-profit competition created by SAP in which students from Years 3 to 12 present original technology projects to a panel of industry professionals and academics, judged on creativity, uniqueness, quality, level of difficulty and documentation.
Joel's project is an autonomous, all-electric fixed-wing aircraft that flies without conventional ailerons. Rather than using moving control surfaces, it stabilises itself by independently varying the speed of its two motors - a technique called differential thrust. An ESP32 microcontroller reads a gyroscope/accelerometer and an ultrasonic altitude sensor continuously, then runs more than 1,200 lines of Joel's own flight-control code to hold the aircraft level, initiate emergency recovery if it detects a steep dive, and progressively reduce throttle for a soft landing. Flight data streams over Bluetooth to a website he built to graph it.
The airframe is almost entirely his own work: a 3D-printed lightweight PLA structure with a NACA 4412 aerofoil and carbon-fibre spar reinforcement, modelled and simulated in Fusion 360. This is his third prototype, developed across two years.

- Delicious food trucks, as well as FREE sausage sizzle (while supplies last)
- Explore our new Senior Secondary Building and eat at our Cafe
- Live music and entertainment
- Opportunities to connect with families, friends, and staff
As a Christian college, we believe creativity is a gift from God, and this evening will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the talents of our students while enjoying fellowship with our wider College community.
