MACSSIS ANNUAL SURVEYS

Each year all Catholic schools survey students, parents and staff. The data collected through the survey process provides us with valuable feedback and guides the school’s future direction.  Students from Year 4-6 completed an online survey at school, last week. The surveys are conducted by an outside agency, which selects 80 families to complete a survey.  The selected families have had their survey log in details emailed and are asked  to call the office if you have any issues accessing your survey.  A reminder to these families that surveys need to be completed prior to the last day of Term.

2027 CLASS GROUPING REQUESTS

Early in Term 4 staff will begin the process of allocating students to a class for 2027.  This is always complex with many factors coming into play and decisions are never made lightly.  If you feel you have information which would assist us when planning class groupings for next year, please note that all requests must be in writing to the Principal by Friday 23rd October.  Parents are reminded that they are unable to request a specific teacher for their child.  While all submissions will be considered, families need to be aware we cannot guarantee we will be able to accommodate your request.

2027 INTENTION FORMS

As we begin planning for the 2027 school year, we are grateful for the trust you place in our school community. Careful forward planning helps us ensure we have the staffing, learning resources and facilities needed to support every child to thrive.

To assist with this planning, we ask current families to let us know their intentions for 2027 by completing the form sent out last Wednesday, via the nForma App. Please be assured that an honest response will not affect your child’s place at the school.  We kindly ask each family to respond by Friday, 16 October 2026. Your response will help us plan for future enrolments, staffing and educational resources.

Our Year 5 & 6 Camp will take place over two days, on Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th November.  This year the students will be participating in an Adventure Camp, where they will have the opportunity to experience a range of outdoor activities.  St John’s students have attended this camp in previous years and it has always been a fantastic experience for the students.  Parents received a notification on Tuesday 8th September with a Video attachment.  This Video outlined the camp itinerary and discussed items students will need to pack.  A reminder to parents of students in Year 5 & 6, that Friday 6th November is a NO SCHOOL day for the students, to allow the school to provide the staff who attended the overnight camp, their required day in Lieu.

BUNNINGS BBQ SATURDAY 21st NOVEMBER

The Parents and Friends Committee will be running a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle on Saturday 21st November and we need your help to make it a success.  This is a great opportunity to raise funds for our school and bring the community together but we can't do it without parent volunteers.  Whether you can spare an hour or a few every bit counts.  Let's fire up the BBQ and make this a fantastic fundraiser!  If you're able to lend a hand, please get in touch with the committee at:
