What a big and exciting start to the year it has been for our Secondary 9/10 students! This term has been all about getting to know one another, building connections, and coming together as a cohesive group. It has been fantastic to see such positive energy in the classroom, with students supporting each other, making new friendships, and challenging themselves through new experiences.

Our first excursion to Binnak Park was a great opportunity for students to connect socially and build relationships outside of the classroom. This was followed by a memorable trip to the beach, where students participated in activities run by lifesavers, including practising pretend rescues. These experiences helped build teamwork, confidence, and a sense of community within the group.

In Maths, students have been developing their skills in addition, subtraction, place value, and location. In Literacy, our focus has been on living a healthy lifestyle. Students have explored the importance of sleep and learned about how the body uses energy to function effectively. As part of this learning, students spent time in the MILE room practising calming and regulation techniques, and enjoyed a trip to Greensborough Plaza where they purchased fresh fruits and vegetables to make their own smoothies.

We also had a fantastic Sports Day, where students showcased their sporting prowess, shared plenty of laughs, and celebrated their efforts with ribbons and plenty of high fives!

We are incredibly proud of all the Year 9/10 students for their hard work, positive attitudes, and willingness to try new things this term.

We are looking forward to seeing what the rest of the year has in store for us!
