Matei wins gold in Taekwondo

After being selected as part of a small group of athletes preparing for World Taekwondo competitions, Matei has achieved a wonderful milestone – he won his first gold medal at his first World Taekwondo event. Although he is only 11, he competed in the 12–14 age group and performed exceptionally well across all his matches.

Matei has also been recognised as one of the top 20 Poomsae competitors in Victoria across all age groups. He has been invited to join a special six-month accelerated training program, where he will receive coaching from some of Australia’s leading Taekwondo masters.

We are immensely proud of Matei’s personal commitment to the sport. We look forward to seeing where his talent and hard work will take him next – perhaps even representing Australia on the international stage.
