Clipboard

This week students have been given access to the Clipboard app. They will sign in using their student log on. Students are able to see their training schedules and fixtures each week.  They can also see when sessions are cancelled and receive notifications from coaches or managers. If students need further information on logging in they can see their Canvas page for details.

Please note that only parents are able to advise of student absences or injuries for cocurricular activites, including training and weekend fixtures, via the Clipboard app. The Clipboard app is ONLY used to advise of absence or injury for cocurricular activities - it is not used to advise absence from school.

To advise of your son's absence from school, please log into the Sentral Parent portal and navigate to the Absence tab.  Parents can also contact the college via either an email to studentmanagement@stpiusx.nsw.edu.au or by calling the college on 9411 4733.

Football

Results Saturday 4 May

Once again the weather has impacted our football, sadly some teams are yet to have played a competitive game, so we are hopeful that the weather holds for this weekend.

Congratulations to those teams that did start their ISA season.  A big thank you to all the teams that travelled to locations far and wide.

This weekend, all games are at Oxford Falls.

A reminder for families to check Clipboard for training details, there is no Monday trainings in Weeks 3, 4 and 6 due to Staff Meetings and Parent Teacher interviews.

Good luck to all teams this weekend.

Mr Simon Yue, Senior Football Convenor

Rugby

While the weather cleared last Saturday, St Pius X College had the opportunity to host all our rugby teams against the Cranbrook school. Considering the poor weather Oxford Falls dried up and St Pius X students dug deep against strong competition. Congratulations to 13A’s, 15A's and 1st XV for a well-deserved win.

The College are proud of the phenomenal effort of our 1st XV rugby team who defeated CAS opposition Cranbrook School in a hard-fought game at Oxford Falls. The 25-19 victory against Cranbrook was inspirational and marks the first time since the 1980s that St Pius X have beaten a Cranbrook 1st XV.  Huge congratulations go to all involved.

Thank you to all the students, supporters, and coaches for contributing to our first home fixture for the year.

Tennis

I would like to congratulate Nicholas Tozer for being nominated as Captain of ISA Tennis. Nicholas has worked hard and shown great leadership skills, and we are confident that he will do an excellent job in this role. We are looking forward to seeing him in action.

Despite the turn in weather last Saturday, the courts were still too wet in the morning to play any matches. We are hoping for better weather this weekend with lots of sunshine!

This week students will be playing in the following locations.

  • Division 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 – Playing at Talus St, St Leonards against Oakhill & St Andrew’s College
  • Division 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 – Playing at Eastside Tennis Centre, Kingsford against St Andrew’s College.
  • Development Blue and Gold – Playing at St Pius X College Oxford Falls Sporting grounds.

Please email me prior to Friday 8:00 am, if you know that your son is unable to play. Looking forward to this weekend!

Mrs Veronica Bamber - ISA Tennis Convenor
