Year 11 News
Australian Catholic University (ACU) – Uni-Step Up Program
We are pleased to share that our Year 11 students recently had the opportunity to participate in a presentation from the Australian Catholic University regarding their University Step-Up Program. During the presentation, students learned about the program's requirements and the application process. This opportunity offers a unique chance for high school students to get a head start on university education. The program is designed to give students a taste of university life and academics. It focuses on fields such as healthcare (nursing, midwifery, and paramedicine), business, and sport and exercise science. This initiative aims to inspire and prepare our students for higher education and future careers by allowing them to experience university-level coursework and expectations.
We are proud to announce that two of our Year 11 students submitted successful applications to the University Step-Up Program. These students will complete two university subjects in their chosen fields, providing them with valuable insights and experience in their areas of interest. If they complete these subjects successfully, they will receive an unconditional offer for a bachelor course at the Australian Catholic University. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to advance their education and secure a place in their desired university program, setting a strong foundation for their future academic and professional endeavours. We congratulate Laurence Jospeh and Charli Potter on their achievements and look forward to seeing their continued success.
Year 11 Examinations
We are thrilled to share that our Year 11 students have successfully completed their mid-year examinations. The Year 11 team was highly impressed by the students' dedication to their studies and the professionalism they displayed throughout the examination period. This experience has provided an invaluable opportunity for students to hone their exam skills, which will serve them well as they prepare for their external Year 12 examinations. Congratulations to all our Year 11 students for their hard work and commitment!
Unit 2 Begins
We are pleased to inform you that our Year 11 students will now embark on Unit 2, with no further subject changes taking place. This means that students will continue with their current subjects into Year 12, providing them with continuity and the opportunity to develop a deep and comprehensive understanding of their chosen areas of study. It is crucial for students to use this time to solidify their knowledge and skills, setting a strong foundation for their future academic success.
To support our students in this important phase, we offer a range of resources and programs. The Mana Pasifika Homework Club meets on Monday afternoons, providing tailored assistance to our Pasifika students. Additionally, the CHAC (Craigieburn High-Achievers Club) program runs on Thursday afternoons, offering further academic support. We also have a tutoring program available to which students can be referred for extra help. We encourage all students to take advantage of these opportunities to enhance their learning and achieve their best.
