Hi, my name is Quintana I am the youngest of 4 children. I have arrived in Australia in December 2018. I was born and raised in Samoa and lived in New Zealand for 1 year. I speak Samoan and English. My Interests are playing Volleyball and Cricket. In my 7EAL class I have made a power point comparing two different sports codes and presenting it to the class. I have applied my knowledge of using a Vinn diagram to compare, using connectives to create simple, complex, and compound sentences.

3. what's the best thing about studying at CSC?
One of the best things about studying at CSC is the sense of community. Students from diverse backgrounds come together creating a rich learning environment. CSC offers excellent resources and supportive faculties ensuring that refugee students are well prepared for their future careers.
4. what are the challenges of learning English and strategies for success?
The challenges of learning English include grammar and pronunciation. To succeed in these parts highly recommends regularly practicing spelling, engaging with native speakers, these strategies will help you improve your confidence in the outside world.

The challenge is the people who don’t understand you as you want and the strategy for the success would to never give up and always ask for feedback from your teacher. This is so helpful.

3. what's the best thing about studying at CSC?
I like most of the things in CSC especially teacher’s care and support that they have given me.
4. what are the challenges of learning English and strategies for success?
The challenges of learning English that I am experiencing at CSC are:
- English language is a new language for me.
- I am forcing to speak English language in the school while I have a poor skill in talking English.
I think the strategies that I must use for success are:
- Practice speaking with my classmate.
- Reading English books that I can borrow from the school’s library.
- Watching English movies.
- Practice writing, especially a new word.
I would like to thank all my teachers and teacher’s Aide who have supporting and helping me.

3. what's the best thing about studying at CSC?
Teachers, teacher’s Aide and Canteen’s food are the best things at CSC.
4. what are the challenges of learning English and strategies for success?
Spelling long words is the most challenging of learning English for me.
I think the strategies that I should use for success is practising more writing.
