From the Acting Principal

It has been a calm and settled start to the term, with students returning to school ready to learn. Classrooms have quickly re-established routines and expectations, creating a positive and focused learning environment. It has been wonderful to see students engaging confidently with their learning and reconnecting with their friends. We look forward to a productive and enjoyable term ahead.

ANZAC Day Assembly
Our ANZAC Day assembly was a meaningful and respectful occasion, with students demonstrating a deep understanding of the day's significance. They showed outstanding respect throughout the ceremony, listening thoughtfully and participating with maturity. It was pleasing to see the care and reverence shown as we honoured those who have served. The students represented our school with pride, reflecting the true spirit of the occasion.
Below are some photos of the artwork created by our students.
Unconditional Love Foundation
We are very excited to be welcoming back Leah and her canine companions, Scout and Pippin, to work with small groups of children as part of the Thrive program. The aim of the sessions is to focus on enhancing emotional literacy; empathy and connection. There will be five sessions, alternating weekly, commencing this week. Children will learn about shared human and animal needs (food, water, shelter, care); shared human and animal emotions (happiness, sadness, fear) and our shared desire to feel safe and loved. The aim is to nurture children’s calmness and self regulation; concentration; kindness and empathy towards animals and people.
PAT AND CHAT CLASSROOM SESSIONS
Some classes will be lucky enough to have a visit from either Angela and Scottie or Barb and Haddie. These sessions allow children to interact with these two beautiful Labradors, who are Guide Dog trained.
We can’t wait to see Leah, Angela, Barb and their canine companions again, they bring so much joy to our school day.

New Shade Sails: Thank you, OSHClub
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to OSHClub for generously funding the installation of the shade sails over our new playground. This valuable addition provides our students with a safer and more comfortable space to learn and play outdoors. Your support demonstrates a strong commitment to the wellbeing of our school community. We are truly grateful for your contribution and the positive impact it will have for years to come.
Teaching Excellence Program ( TEP)
Ms Shantha and Ms Chia has/have begun the Teaching Excellence Program!
Our school values the learning and development of our staff, and the positive impact this has on student outcomes and school improvement.
We are proud to share that Ms Shantha and Ms Chia recently began the Teaching Excellence Program at the Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership.
This program enables skilled teachers to further advance their capabilities and skills in teaching.
Through the program, both Eshani and Samantha will grow their knowledge of teaching practices by engaging with contemporary educational research and inquiring into two areas of their practice.
We look forward to both of them sharing their skills and knowledge from the program to continue supporting student learning and wellbeing outcomes at our school.
