SCHOOL MASS
Tomorrow, Wednesday 25th November, we will be celebrating our final school Mass of the year. Parents are welcome to join us for this Liturgy in the School Hall at 9:30.
PRAYER
In the Catholic tradition, Advent is a four-week season of joyful anticipation and preparation for the birth of Jesus Christ at Christmas. Advent begins next Sunday and marks the start of the new liturgical year. Every Catholic Church will have on display an Advent Wreath. This is a circular wreath with four candles, three purple and one pink. One candle is lit on each of the four Sundays of Advent, symbolising hope, peace, joy, and love. The fifth white candle is called the "Christ Candle" and is lit on Christmas Day.
Families might like to create their own Advent Wreath at home and pray the prayer below each day:
Heavenly Father,
Your son, Jesus,
is your greatest gift to us,
a great sign of your love.
Guide us as we strive
to walk in that love
together as a family this Advent.
As we prepare our hearts for Christmas,
bring us closer to each other and to your Son.
Amen
PARISH NEWS
Parish Fair
Last weekend saw the return of the Parish Fair. While this was a pared down event from those held prior to Covid, it was a resounding success. A special thanks to our Parents & Friends members who ran a Popcorn stall throughout the day.
