Principal's Message

Our Community

We are committed to strengthening our school community and building meaningful connections across our families, staff and students.

Community Class Lists

Our community class lists are currently being finalised. Class Representatives will be appointed shortly and will begin communicating with you soon.

Parents Association

Further to my recent Compass announcement, the Parents Association will be meeting on Tuesday 3 March at 6.30pm in the staffroom. This meeting will provide an opportunity for parents to come together and establish small working groups to lead school fundraising initiatives, social activities, and projects to enhance our school grounds.

Information Evenings

Thank you to all of our families who have attended our recent Information Evenings. The year level sessions offered teachers the opportunity to share an overview of the learning program, upcoming activities such as camps and excursions, and an introduction to the School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) framework.

Yesterday’s SWPBS and NAPLAN information sessions were also very well attended. We will continue to host similar sessions throughout the year to give you insight into different aspects of our school and explore how we can work together to support your children’s learning and wellbeing.

Whole School Community Picnic

You are all invited to a first whole school community event on Friday 27 March from 5.30pm-7.30pm.

Families are welcome to bring a blanket or some chairs to sit on and enjoy a picnic together. We kindly ask for a ‘Gold coin donation’ for this event.

The Parents Association have organised:

  • A BBQ
  • An ice cream van
  • Potato Twisties
  • Coffee cart
  • Community clubs
  • An animal farm
  • Second hand uniform

Please let us know if you are available to assist with the BBQ by completing this form.

We look forward to seeing you there.

School Council Nominations

Each year nominations are called for Parent Nominees for School Council. This year there are six Parent Member vacancies. If you would like to nominate for School collect a nomination form from the office and return it to Lesley Shipston at the front office. Each position on School Council is from March 2026 to March 2028.

Nominations are open until 4:00pm on Monday 2nd March.

If, at the close of nominations, we have more than six nominations then we will conduct an election. If an election is necessary, candidates will be asked for a brief written statement introducing themselves to the parent community.

Why is parent membership so important?

Parents on school councils provide important viewpoints and have valuable skills and a range of experiences and knowledge that can help inform and shape the direction of the school.

Do I need special experience to be on school council?

Each member brings their own valuable skills and knowledge to the role, however, in order to successfully perform their duties, councillors may need to gain some new skills and knowledge.

It is important to have an interest in your child’s school and the desire to work in partnership with others to help shape the school’s future.

What is the commitment?

School Council meets ten times throughout the year on a Tuesday night from 6.30pm to 8.00pm.
