DHS House Swimming Sports: 6 Feb 2026

This Friday the 6th of February will be our annual House Swimming Sports. This will be the debut of our two new School Houses! Buloke (Blue) and Richardson (Red), will compete against each other for the first time. 

Period 1-3 classes will run as normal, before we walk to the pool as a whole school.

Parents and carers are encouraged to come along from 11:30 and support the students compete in events throughout the day! The event list will be up on Xuno tonight to view.

Bus travellers will be transported back to school in the afternoon, all other students will be dismissed from the pool.

There will be a BBQ available throughout the day selling sausages, hamburgers, and soft drinks. See Prices below:

If you wish to purchase from the BBQ area, please bring some money – no large bills please. There will be a recycle collection of bottles and cans (10c program – Container Deposit Scheme) Please return empties. RECYCLING PROCEEDS TOWARD OUR SPONSOR  CHILD

SunSmart messages are reminders to protect your skin from the sun's ultraviolet (UV) radiation. The messages encourage people to: 

• Slip on clothing: Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing that covers as much skin as possible 

• Slop on sunscreen: Apply SPF50 or higher broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen thickly 

• Slap on a hat: Wear a broad-brimmed hat 

• Seek shade: Find a shady spot, especially during the middle of the day when UV is highest 

• Slide on sunglasses: Wear sunglasses labeled
