TheirCare News
Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends!
Welcome to Week 5 of Term 3!
Where did all the days go? We’re already halfway through the term! This week’s theme at TheirCare is “Science is Fun”. That is true! Science is truly fun! We had a lot of fun exploring and doing some science experiments every afternoon. Children were amazed about the “Magic Sand” and were intrigued as to how the sand stays dry once it is out of the water but looks wet once it is engaged in the water. Children were also excited and showed curiosity about the “Magic Bubbles”. What does a piece of straw and a piece of string make? It can create a huge size of bubbles! Children were stunned when they saw the big bubbles. We even created bubble solution. This week has been full of discoveries and excitement about science!
This term, children have become more and more interested in arts and crafts activities, and it has been part of our activities every afternoon. Not only did we do science experiments, but we also created and designed a rocket and even made a planet – they have become more creative and imaginative. Also, children have been into hand-knitting these days! They have created cool stuff such as bracelets and necklaces. Card games have become a popular game in the TheirCare room while soccer is the most played game in the gym every morning. At such an age they have shown great sportsmanship and teamwork.
Also, we would like to let all prep families know that our amazing prep children have been doing an amazing job by walking themselves to TheirCare at 3:20pm when the bell rings. They have adjusted to the routine quickly and are doing well. We are so happy that they are doing well and are looking after each other. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to discuss them with us.
We would like to remind parents to make sure that they are cancelling their children in the mornings and afternoons. In terms of late book-ins, it would be greatly appreciated when booking children in late in the afternoon that you notify us so that we can add them to the list and notify the school so that children are aware of where they are going and do not get upset or confused. As always, we appreciate your support and that extra help notifying us.
This week’s Pupil of the Week is Cora Huysman for being kind and making sure that others feel okay especially when they are upset and helping them find their missing valuable toy.
Well done, Cora! You should be so proud of yourself. 😊
