End of Term 1 (2.30pm student dismissal)
A reminder: As the end of Term 1 is rapidly approaching, our final day of the term is Thursday 2nd April. Students will be dismissed at the earlier time of 2.30pm.
Our end of term assembly will be commence at 2.00pm, all welcome. Our Easter raffle will be drawn at this assembly.
Kelly Club will operate from 2.30pm on this day for families requiring it.

Special Student Lunch - Friday 27th March
A reminder that all orders and money for our special student hotdog lunch are due back to the school office by no later than Friday 20th March. Spare forms are available from the office.
*Late orders may not be accepted.
Volunteers Needed!
We will require the assistance from parent/carer volunteers on the day to cook and distribute the hotdogs. If you can assist (for 1-2hrs on 27th March - between 11.30am and 1.30pm), please contact the office.
NB: All volunteers must have a current WWCC.
Action Required: Annual Permissions and Agreements (via Compass)
We are currently at an 80% completion from families for this action... just 20% more to go!
The 2026 Annual Permissions/Agreements have been published in Compass for you to action for each of your children. These permissions are only required once a year and will be valid for the whole school year.
We ask all families, if not already, to please complete these actions ASAP.
The annual permissions are found under the "Insights" section in Compass and are listed below:
- Headlice Inspection Consent
- Local Excursions Consent
- Annual Photography, Filming and Recording Agreement
- PG Rated Films
School Canteen Service - Fresh Food Fairy, Wednesdays (lunch)
Our canteen lunch service will be running once again this year on Wednesdays - with a new, improved menu! Orders should be placed via the Flexischools App (instructions below) or website. See HERE for further information about the Fresh Food Fairy lunch service at Newtown PS.

Did you know: Members of our school community may attend most School Council meetings.
School community members are also welcome to join a School Council Subcommittee;
