Welcome to 2026
Principal's Message
Dear OTC Community,
It is with immense joy and renewed optimism that I welcome you to the 2026 school year.
I welcome back the returning students whose demonstrated courage, growth, and perseverance are already part of our school’s story. I also welcome the new students and families for choosing OTC as your new school home. We are honoured that you have entrusted us with your hopes, your dreams, and your future.
OTC is not just a school. Ours is also a community of journeys.
Many of you come from places of great beauty and rich cultures — from countries across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and the Pacific. Some of you have arrived through challenging circumstances. Some of you have left behind families, languages/dialects as well as all things familiar. But please allow me this assurance.
You are not defined by what you have left behind or lost. You are defined by what you carry within you.
We admire you as you display resilience, wisdom, faith, culture, identity and all stories that matters. Therefore, at OTC, your language is an asset, your culture is a strength, your history is respected.
Starting from last year and continuing into the coming years, I encourage you to embrace the restorative/transformative and empowering potential which our unique approach to education portends for you and your future.
Whether you are studying within VPC, VCE VM, or other pathways, I encourage you to stay focused and engage meaningfully in every learning and teaching activity.
To our teachers and support staff — thank you for your commitment to walking alongside our students with patience and care.
To our parents and carers — thank you for your sacrifice. Many of you have crossed oceans so your children could have opportunity. We see you. We honour you.
And on behalf of the OTC team, I pledge you this:
We will create a safe, nurturing, high-expectation environment where you can thrive. Because we believe in your potential, we will work with you to navigate and overcome any real or imagined challenges that you may present.
Let the 2026 school year not just be another calendar page. Rather a new chapter written together by all of us with hope, courage and determination.
Thank you.
