Welcome to our New Students 

Welcome to our new students and their families commencing at Pilgrim School in 2026.

 

Our new Foundation students starting this term include: Eden, Lincoln, Hiraya, Ewan, Oliver, Ruben, Tashi, ZhangZheng, Hailey, Phoebe, Josie, Eloise, Belén, Lawrence, Jamie, Charlie, Nash, Joshua, Adeline, Lydia, Makenna, Isla, Ellie, Camilla, Elouise and Amelia. Welcome also to Sylvia and Asbjorn in Year 1; William and Vaughn in Year 4; and Carter who will joining us in Year 5 this year.

 

We pray rich blessings on you all as you start at Pilgrim, that you soon feel like you really belong here, can explore in your learning and flourish in who you are.

First Day Morning Tea 

All parents are welcome to join us for morning tea in the Oasis Kitchen on Tuesday 27th January after you have dropped your child/ren at their classrooms. We would love to catch up with you on this first day of school!

Compass App

Please ensure that you have logged into Compass, installed the Compass App and allowed notifications. Compass is used for student absences, contacting families, notification of general First Aid Room attendance, student academic reports, school photo orders and excursion consents. 

 

It would be a great time to check your details are correct in the Compass App and portal.

Foundation Families Meet the Teacher 

All Foundation families are invited to drop in to school on Thursday 22nd January 3:00-4:00pm to say hello to their class teachers and see their classroom set up ahead of the first day of school the following week. 

 

Books, bookcover sheets and instructions will be provided at that time. (Anyone not able to come in that day will receive their stationery on the first day of school.) Parents are asked to please apply the covers as per the instructions that will be provided and bring the covered, labelled books to school no later than the first day of Week 2 (ie by Monday 2nd February).

Kiss & Drop 

Pilgrim School's Kiss & Drop zone is located next to our school on Campus Drive and is supervised each afternoon 3.10-3.30pm. Children remaining after this time will be taken to the Front Office for collection by parents.

 

Please remember to remain in your car and keep moving in the Kiss & Drop line so that you can collect your child at the top end near the large shelter. We would appreciate you letting others who are collecting your child (eg grandparents or other relatives/friends) know this information too.

Parent Information Nights 

These nights are extremely important as each teacher presents information about the learning programs for their class. This year our Parent Information Nights will be held in your child's classroom and we ask all parents and caregivers to please attend.

Foundation classes: 6.30pm 

Years 1/2 classes: 7.15pm

 

Monday 9th February 2026

Years 3/4 classes: 6.30pm

Year 5/6 classes: 7.15pm 

Pilgrim School Marion Pool Family Event 

We would love you to join us at the Marion Outdoor Pool on Saturday 14th February 3.00-6.00pm for our Family Community Event. Tickets are available through Qkr!

  • Swim pass (use of pools and water park) $6.50
  • Swim pass with waterslides $11.60
  • Spectator $4.40
  • P&F will be providing a free sausage sizzle on the afternoon or you can bring your own food and drink or use the kiosk
  • Please book via Qkr! by Wednesday 11th February

Introduction of Foundation Students at Worship 

Our Year 6 students will be introducing their Foundation buddies and presenting them with a Bible across two weeks of Worship this year.

 

  • Wednesday 11th February (Week 3) - introduction of Foundation FTL students
  • Tuesday* 24th February (Week 5) - introduction of Foundation FL students 

     

*Please note change of day due to Year 5/6 excursion.

 

We warmly invite all families to join us on these special mornings in the Performing Arts Centre (PAC) from 8.55am. Worship on Wednesday 11th February will also include our school Commencement Worship where we dedicate our school year, staff, students and families.

School Photo Day

Information about how to order photos (individual, class and family options) through our Compass app will be available soon.

Pilgrim Athletics Club

Athletics Club for students in Years 2 - 6, will once again be held in Term 1. We will be meeting on Fridays 3.30pm - 4.15pm starting in Week 2 (6th February). Registration details will be provided shortly. If you have any questions, please speak to Brett Middleton.

Campus Tornadoes Pedal Prix 

Thank you to all of the families who attended the Pedal Prix Come and Try at the end of 2025. Interested Campus families who have students in Years 5 and 6 are asked to attend the following session:

 

Pedal Prix Information and Registration Evening

Wednesday 4th February (Week 2) 

Campus Performing Arts Centre

6.30pm: All continuing riders registration

7.15pm: Season information. All new riders and families to attend this information session. Following the information session, new families will have the chance to register and pay fees. All registrations and payments (or payment plan) is due by Friday 13th February.

Chinese (Mandarin) & Auslan Language Classes

The School of Languages will again be running after school Mandarin & Auslan classes (subject to minimum required enrolments) at Pilgrim School in 2026.

  • Times: Thursdays 3.30 – 5.00pm
  • Start Date: Thursday 5th February (Week 2 of Term 1)
  • Duration: Each Thursday during school terms from 5th February to 3rd December (not in school holidays)
  • Appropriate for: Foundation to Year 6 students from any school
  • Cost: $150 per student for the year
  • Enrolment: Enrolment forms are available online at https://schooloflanguages.sa.edu.au/enrolment/
