Students created a calendar using Japanese numbers and the Japanese words for the days of the week. This task gave students the opportunity to write two-digit numbers in Japanese. 

Students revised Japanese numbers from 1 to 10 and then learnt the patterns to write two-digit numbers. They also learnt how to say each day of the week as well as how to write each day of the week in kanji characters. 

After writing numbers students drew a picture that described the month. The picture reflected the season and an event in Japan for their month.
