Children’s Week Launch Celebration

Our recent Children’s Week Launch was a wonderful success and a proud opportunity for students, staff, families and community members to come together and celebrate the learning, strengths and achievements of our children at Woodville Gardens

B-6.

The event showcased student learning, student voice and the rich diversity of our school community, while highlighting the important role public education plays in helping every child learn, grow and thrive. It also reflected our school values in action, with students demonstrating respect, responsibility and fairness throughout the day.

This was truly a whole-community effort, and we sincerely thank everyone who contributed to making the event such a success. We were delighted to receive very positive feedback from guests and members of the Children’s Week Committee, with one commenting, “It’s the best one I’ve been to.” Many also praised our students’ behaviour, enthusiasm and engagement.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a meaningful occasion for Woodville Gardens School. Be sure to check out the fantastic photos in this newsletter to see some of the special moments from the day.

World Teachers’ Day 2026

Friday 30 October 2026 marks World Teachers’ Day in Australia, and provides an important opportunity to recognise and thank the dedicated teachers of Woodville Gardens School Birth–6 for the care, commitment and professionalism they bring to their work each day.

Our teachers make a lasting difference in the lives of children through their encouragement, expertise and belief in every learner’s potential. They support students not only in their learning, but also in their confidence, wellbeing and growth.

I invite our community to join me in expressing gratitude to our teachers for the important work they do. A kind word, note or message of thanks can mean so much and is a wonderful way to acknowledge the positive impact your child’s teacher has had.

To all of our teachers, thank you for the difference you make every day.

2027 Student Enrolments

As we move into the final stages of planning for 2027, we ask families to please let the school know as soon as possible if their child will not be returning next year. If you have a younger child, or know of a sibling starting in 2027, please make sure their enrolment has been submitted. This information helps us with class planning and staffing for the year ahead.

If your child will not be returning, or if you have any questions about enrolment for 2027, please contact the school on 8414 8600 or email dl.1904.info@schools.sa.edu.au. Thank you for your support.
