Parents Association Newsletter Update 

 

🐰 EASTER RAFFLE

Our Easter raffle was a wonderful success! We wanted to express our thanks to the generosity and support of our school community. Our winners have been contacted and we hope you enjoy all of the lovely and yummy prizes!  We would also like to take this opportunity to wish all our families a happy and safe Easter weekend and school holidays! Yay for two weeks of no lunchboxes 😁

 

♻️ CONTAINER DEPOSIT SCHEME 

Our container deposit scheme (CDS) continues to grow, and we are making great progress toward our goal of funding a buddy bench - thank you to everyone who has contributed so far! We look forward to continuing this project in Term 2 and if you wish to help support this project over the holidays, please use the code: C00073524 directly at the Deposit Centre.

 

🌸 We look forward to returning in Term 2 with more exciting plans, including our Mother’s Day events🌸 

On Friday, May 8th, the PA will be hosting a Mother’s Day Breakfast for all of our Mum’s and care givers to show our appreciation! Please join us from 8am in the Sports Hall with your favourite coffee cup (or use one of ours) to enjoy a relaxed morning with coffee, conversation, a sweet treat and the opportunity to take a special photo. 

Also happening on Friday 8th of May is our Mother’s Day Stall 💝 We’re proud to offer some beautiful new gift options this year! Gifts coupons be available to purchase on Compass with  1 gift for $7 or 2 gifts for $14. Please note that no cash will be accepted.

✨ We are always looking for volunteers to assist with events such as the Mother’s Day Breakfast and Stall. If you are able to lend a hand, please get in touch — your support makes a huge difference.✨

 

🤝 COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Behind the scenes, we have been busy organising new initiatives to bring our community together and create meaningful opportunities for collaborations. 

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to businesses who have already supported us, including Funtopia in Carrum Downs and also St Kilda Football Club, who both offer some wonderful school holiday activities;

 

Funtopia Carrum Downs 🎉

Funtopia Carrum Downs is running a “Drop and Go” holiday program. This fully supervised session is designed for children aged 5 to 10 and includes a climbing lesson, access to a large adventure playground, healthy snacks, and a dedicated breakout space.

St Kilda Football Club 🏉

 The St Kilda Football Club offer an inclusive School holiday programme called ‘Saints Play’. - SaintsPlay is an inclusive, fun, footy program for children with developmental challenges that enhances social connectivity & confidence in participants. Delivered by Saints community coaches, the program is held at St Kilda Football Club’s elite training facility at RSEA Park. 📸 PA UPDATE

On Monday our Parents Association joined in for a group photo! So, if you happen to spot one of us around the school during the year, please feel free to come and say hello — we’re always happy to have a chat! 

We also encourage anyone interested to consider joining the Parents Association! It’s a fantastic opportunity to have a voice in our school community and support our students.
