Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends! 

Welcome sadly to our very last week of Term 4 and 2023. Can you believe it!

What a rollercoaster of a year we have had together. Massive holiday programs, staff changes, and of course lots of fun every day together. Due to it being our last week together, we have made this week student-based and even sometimes student-run. From letting the children run the craft activities, games and even running the morning session, they have loved being in charge. Which is not a big surprise. 

This week we have still had a strong focus on Christmas and the New Year as it is fast approaching. Children have been able to decorate their own 2024 calendars, which has shown some awesome designs and just how creative our children are. We have also created amazing snowman popsicle stick crafts with the children in the morning and afternoon, which they have loved. This week Elfie has taken his mischief up a notch with the children finding it hard to solve his riddles and find him. We have found Elfie hiding in cereal, block tubs and even hanging from the roof! What a crazy little elf. 

Our TheirCare advent calendar has been very popular this week with children competing to get the chance to open one of the days and have that chocolate addition in their lunchbox. It is very funny to see what lengths children will go to, to win.

As previously mentioned, this year has been a rollercoaster. But we could not have gotten to the end of the year without the Footscray West Primary School community. We would like to thank all the families of our TheirCare children for their continued support, kindness, and help over this amazing year together. From making sure we know your booking has been cancelled, keeping us updated on things that may affect your child and simply having a nice chat with us, it all goes so far and means so much to us. To all the staff at Footscray West, you are simply amazing, and we are so lucky to have an awesome and supportive relationship with you guys that we look to continue in 2024 and beyond.

We wish everyone a safe and awesome Christmas and New Year and we are just so excited to see most of you in the January Holiday Program and Term 1 2024.
