Our brains have been working hard in Maths as we've been tackling the tricky skill of subtraction. We've explored different strategies to help us take away numbers, from using number lines to breaking down larger numbers into smaller, more manageable chunks. 

Sporting Spotlight: Catching Skills 🏐

Physical education is all about improving our techniques and skills. We are currently practising the skill of catching, hand-eye coordination, learning how to track moving balls, and developing fundamental skills that will help them in various sports. We're focusing on proper hand positioning and body alignment when catching.

Our budding artists are embarking on an exciting journey exploring the works of Claude Monet. Students will learn about Impressionist painting techniques, colour theory, and create their own inspired artworks.

History Exploration: Australian Celebrations 🇦🇺

We're investigating important Australian commemorations and celebrations. Students will learn about significant national days, understand their historical context, and explore how different communities mark these special occasions.

English Literature: Ned Kelly and The Green Sash 📖

Our reading focus is on the fascinating story of "Ned Kelly and The Green Sash". We're following the adventures (and maybe a little bit of trouble!) of this famous Australian figure. We're focusing on developing our reading comprehension skills, exploring character development, and learning new vocabulary along the way.
