Rotary ISAC  Competition

On Thursday 6th August, we had two teams representing Baxter Primary School at the Rotary ISAC competition. This year, the challenge was to design and build a bridge using playing cards, string and icy pole sticks.

The “No-Commonsense Collective” (Linkin, Kody, Kira and Dion) managed to build a bridge that held an impressive 3kg of tinned food. The “Trusty Trusses” (Jayden, Macey, Piper and Ryan) went even further, building a bridge that held an amazing (almost) 5kg!

Although neither team took home the winning prize, all students should be incredibly proud of their efforts. They demonstrated fantastic teamwork, creativity, problem-solving skills and perseverance throughout the challenge. It was wonderful to see the students working together, testing their ideas, learning from their mistakes and making improvements to their designs.
