This Week At OOPS

Prep - 2 Athletics Day
Our first Prep - 2 Athletics Day was a fantastic day of teamwork, leadership and school spirit. Well done to all of our participants and our Sports Academy students.
Junior Concert
What an incredible night we had at our Junior School Concert! Our students took us on a wonderful journey through some of the possibilities of their futures, bringing their dreams and imaginations to life on stage.
We started with a venue rehearsal during the day ahead of the big performance in the evening. It was a huge day and the students handled it like true professionals!
For families who would like a lasting keepsake of the performance, recordings are available to order as:
- USB: $35
- MP4 digital download: $25
Orders can be placed via the link below:

International Students
Old Orchard Primary School has welcomed many international students this year, giving them the chance to experience the fun, friendships and everyday adventures of an Australian school.
One of our visiting students, Leanne from Taiwan, quickly became part of the Old Orchard community. During her time with us, she experienced school life both as a student and as a visitor exploring a new country, culture and way of life. Leanne has put pen to paper to share some of her favourite moments and observations from her Australian adventure. It is wonderful for us to read about and see Australia through a child’s eyes, sharing in the excitement, surprises and discoveries of her adventure.
Thank you!
We would love to give a huge shout out to our Parent Volunteers (Aman Kaur Wood, Jane Fields, Sarah Sofi, Lisa Donnini and Soo Jeong Lee) who came for our inaugural Coffee and Cover session last Thursday. Thanks to their brilliant efforts led by Ruth & Helen a staggering 70 books were contacted and have been added to the OOPS library! Due to its success, we plan to hold another session early in Term 4.
Hats Are Back!
Next week students will need to begin bringing their sunsmart hat to school each day.
From week 9 (7th September) students who do not have their hat will be restricted to the "No hat no play" shaded areas, in line with our Sun Smart policy. Please ensure hats are clearly labelled. Thank you for your support.
