Mc Clelland

A New Opportunity for Sculpture in Victoria

The Association of Sculptors of Victoria is delighted to announce that we have an opportunity to showcase Victorian sculpture at McClelland Sculpture Park and Gallery. We see McClelland as one of Victoria’s outstanding cultural assets. The Sculpture Park contains significant examples of the works of 20th and 21st Century sculptors. The collection evolves as it grows and is worth multiple visits. The Gallery runs professionally curated exhibitions - always valuable for their thoughtful and perceptive takes on art and life in Victoria. The Sarah and Baillieu Myer Pavilion can be an education space, an event space and in January 2024 will become a sculpture exhibition space. From 17 January to 28 January 2024 the Association of Sculptors of Victoria will present: “Form + Philosophy” sculptures by living Victorian sculptors, in all their diversity of philosophy, media and expression. The exhibiting sculptors will be at the exhibition - ready and enthusiastic to enrich visitors’ experience with informed conversation. This is an exciting new venue for the Association of Sculptors of Victoria and a perfect fit for our vision of presenting sculpture and sculptors in Victoria. We expect to show around 65 sculptures in the Pavilion. All will be for sale. The exhibition will be viewable online - a good preview or refresher that can be viewed from home. The best experience will certainly be in real life in the tranquil environs of McClelland Sculpture Park and Gallery.
