Queensland Theatre Scene Project

On Tuesday 26 August, our Year 9 and 10 Drama students proudly represented Clayfield College at the 2025 Queensland Theatre Scene Project Outcome Day. After participating in an Artist-in-Residence workshop with Queensland Theatre and undertaking weeks of rehearsals, students presented their creative interpretations of the playtext ‘Recalibrate’, alongside schools from across the state.

The event celebrated collaboration, contemporary theatre practice, and the opportunity for students to showcase their skills on a professional stage while engaging with industry artists and peers.

Musical Update

New Dates Announced – College Musical 2026

The performance dates for the 2026 College Musical have changed. Audiences can look forward to a matinee and evening performance on Friday 6 March 2026, followed by a final evening show on Saturday 7 March 2026.

In preparation, rehearsals will continue the final three Tuesday afternoons this term, with Term 4 rehearsals scheduled for Tuesday and Friday afternoons from 3:15pm – 5:30pm. Students are especially excited about upcoming workshops with Jason Barry-Smith from Opera Queensland, providing a wonderful opportunity to refine their vocal and performance skills.

Opus 3 Concert

Our Opus 3 concert at Saint Andrew’s Uniting Church on Saturday evening was a true celebration of music making.

The exceptional acoustics and beautiful setting provided the perfect backdrop for our students to perform a blended program featuring classical masterpieces, contemporary favourites, and original compositions.

We’re proud to offer our students meaningful performance experiences like this, and it was a pleasure to see them share their music with such confidence.

Thank you to our talented students, dedicated conductors and accompanists, and to our wonderful community for supporting and celebrating this special evening of music with us.
