Lunar New Year Celebration

Yesterday, all our international students gathered at our ILC for the celebration of  Lunar  New Year. We had the traditional dishes, dumplings and spring rolls which are often eaten during the New Year for good luck and prosperity in the coming year. In addition to the feast, each student received a red envelope filled with well wishes for good fortune in the year ahead. These red envelopes are a symbol of luck and are a cherished tradition in Asian  culture.

Students embraced their artistic side by practicing the ancient art of calligraphy. They carefully wrote New Year messages, creating beautiful pieces of art while learning about the rich cultural significance behind the characters.

Lunar New Year 2025 fell on Wednesday, 29th Jan, and celebrations culminated with the Lantern Festival on 12th Feb. This year is the year of the Snake.

We look forward to continuing to honour cultural traditions in our school community throughout the year!

Health and Well-Being: Key Insights from Our School Nurse Seminar

We are very grateful that our college nurse Ms Brook Jones organised a special session for our new international students on Tuesday 10th of February. It offered  practical guidance for students on maintaining their well-being. We discussed important topics related to consent, young people and the law, the importance of  sleep, as well as essential habits for a healthy lifestyle.
