Thank you for your generous donations of non-perishable food, toiletries and new beanies for our recent Vinnies Winter Appeal.
The donations were presented to Louis from the local Vinnies Conference following our Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Mass on Friday, 12 June. Louis expressed his sincere appreciation for the generosity of our school community and spoke about the important work Vinnies does to support people experiencing hardship.

Our Year 6 leaders then helped place the donated items in the Vinnies Cupboard at the Parish House, ready to be distributed to those in need.
Donations of non-perishable food and toiletries can be made to Vinnies throughout the year. As the school holidays approach, families may also wish to consider sorting through wardrobes and cupboards at home and donating any good-quality items to the local Vinnies Op Shop or another charitable second-hand store.
Thank you once again for your kindness and support.
St Michael's School will celebrate Grandparents and Special Friends Day on Friday 7th August, 2026.
More details will be shared via nForma and upcoming school newsletters .
We would like to create a Google Slide presentation using photos of the students with their grandparents and special friends. The presentation will be included in our Prayer Liturgy on Friday 7th August.
Please begin sharing your photos by emailing, with the names of the children, grandparents and special friends to rhickey@smashburton.catholic.edu.au

For the values of sport ...
Let us pray that sports be an instrument of peace, encounter and dialogue among cultures and nations, and that they promote values such as respect, solidarity, and personal growth.
Amen
