St Patrick's College is committed to promoting respectful relationships and ending gender violence, and our Boarding Captain Ollie Hannaford together with our Student Council is leading the charge with a spin cycle event tonight!
The event involves teams of students and staff cycling non-stop for 24 hours, symbolising the continuous effort needed to 'Break the Cycle' of gender violence.
Our goal is to raise $2750 for Ballarat's Raven Collective, a transformative social enterprise dedicated to empowering women who have experienced domestic abuse.
You can help by donating via the TryBooking link below or if you fancy some Friday night takeaway, grab a pizza from Domino's Pizza Bakery Hill. Domino's is kindly donating $1 from every large or XL pizza sold between 11am and midnight on Friday to the cause. Thank you Domino's and well done boys on leading such a great initiative!
We are thrilled to announce the return of the highly regarded Flanagan Art Prize at St Patrick's College in 2025.
From 2008-2017, St Patrick’s College successfully organised and hosted the Flanagan Art Prize, named in honour of Old Collegian and former curator of the Australian War Memorial Noel Flanagan, before altering our approach in 2019 and 2021 and offering an Artist-in-Residence opportunity at St Pat's.
Next year, we are bringing back the major exhibition and would love your support!
With preparations underway, we are seeking expressions of interest from members of our school community who may wish to sponsor this highly-anticipated event. The 2025 art prize will offer $18,000 in prizes across three entry categories, including the Flanagan Art Prize, Young Flanagan Art Prize and Clontarf Academy Art Prize for indigenous students.
If you are a business owner, work for a community-minded organisation or are simply an art enthusiast, this is a fantastic opportunity to support the arts and gain valuable exposure within the College community and broader Ballarat region.
Sponsorship opportunities are available are various levels, each offering unique benefits including prominent branding and recognition throughout the event.
Your support will play a crucial role in making next year's Flanagan Art Prize a success!

Further to previous updates, Dobsons has undertaken a mountain of work and is expected to have their retail store at 29 Mair Street East open by the end of the first week of the upcoming holidays.
The onsite shop at the College will close at the end of Term 3 and stock will be transitioned to the new store. Dobson’s first day of trade at 29 Mair Street East is planned for Monday, 23 September.
I appreciate for some not having a uniform shop onsite may be an inconvenience, but the new store will be open for longer hours, for more days of the week (including Saturday mornings), and for more weeks of the year. Coupled with online ordering, with an option to have the uniform delivered free to school (excluding holidays), we have tried to minimise any inconvenience. Additional information will be forwarded from Dobsons once available.
Please be reminded that Dobson's onsite uniform shop remains open at this time, during the following hours:
Please note that Click and Collect orders can only be collected from the shop during opening hours.
