LIVING WELL, LEARNING WELL 2024 CLASS REPRESENTATIVES
At assembly last Friday our 2024 Living Well, Learning Well (LWLW) Class Representatives were announced and presented with their badges. The role of the LWLW Representatives is to give each student from Kindergarten to Year 6 a voice to have their say about what matters at our school. They are looking forward to holding their first LWLW meeting for 2024 this week.
Please remind your child/ren that if they do not feel comfortable speaking up in the class meetings, that an anonymous suggestion box is located in the Library. Students are encouraged to write down any ideas or thoughts and put them in the box.
2MAX FM NEWS
Next Thursday, two selected Year 6 students will be presenting our first St Francis Xavier’s News on the air for 2024 with 2MaxFM. All students in Year 6 have the opportunity to participate in this great activity. Two students are rostered on once a fortnight of a Thursday at 9.15am to deliver our school news to Narrabri and surrounding communities.
This is a great experience for the students which assists with their public speaking skills. Make sure you tune in to 2MaxFM next Thursday 7th March for the first installment of our news.
ARMIDALE CATHOLIC SCHOOLS COMMISSIONING MASS AND TERM 1 PRINCIPAL'S MEETING
Congratulations to Mr Frend who was inducted as our School Principal at the Armidale Catholic Schools Commissioning Mass held in Armidale last Wednesday. The service included a special blessing for all newly inducted principals as well as our new Director of Schools, Regina Menz. The congregation joined together to pledge a testimony of support.
Mr Frend remained in Armidale on Thursday and Friday last week to attend the two day Term 1 Principal’s meeting. Each Term all principals within the Diocese get together to discuss a range of topics. This Term the focus was on finance, information and communications technology, facilities, attendance and strategic work.
