From the Head of Boarding

MEBS - A Legacy of Excellence

Dear Boarding Community,

This edition comes on the last day of Term 3. Our Year 12 Boarders have left after Farewell assemblies and activities as their rite of passage. We wish them all the best for the forthcoming HSC Examinations beginning in Term 4.

Already, we see our new Year 12 Boarders in their College Year 12 tops - how quickly things change. We wish these young people all the best as they begin their final year next term.

Congratulations to all of our Boarders who played in finals, who won finals, and commiserations to those who came close to winning. The striving to win and the playing are the most important parts of sport.

Spring is Upon Us

It is pleasing to be able to spend more time outside in the warmer, sunny weather - at times. Taking advantage of this, the Nagle House girls were seen enjoying the change of weather with an activity on the front lawns of Mount Erin.

Kildare, Mater Dei, and MEBS were at Henty, located this year in the Country Lifestyle Pavilion. It was great to catch up with our Boarding Community who came by, meet with new and potential families, and to catch up with our colleagues from other Boarding Schools who were present over the three days. I would like to thank the following people who joined me at the stand during the three days:

Mrs Val Thomas - Principal, Mater Dei Catholic College

Mrs Jackie Tassell - MEBS Boarding Coordinator

Mr. Richard O'Connell - MDCC

Mr. Tom Pulver - KCC
