The Art Show is a celebration of the arts and our school’s major fundraiser for the year. This year our theme is ‘Iconic Artists’.
Please ensure you save the date. This year, the artworks will be on display for Grandparents Day on Friday 23rd October. Student individual artworks will be on display until the second-to-last week of the school year. These artworks will then be filed and sent home with students in their visual arts folios.
This year, our fundraising initiatives include the silent auction of class collaborative artworks, a carefully curated silent auction of creative products and the much-anticipated Art in the Dark!
Students can wear casual clothes with a hint (or lots) of sparkle!
Please see below the schedule for the evening:

I would like to thank Mr Butler, Mrs Marinelli, Lynnette and our incredible team of parents who are helping behind the scenes to make this a wonderful evening. Thank you, Fleur D, Angela N, Angela L, Jess G and Annie K for all of the time and effort you are putting into this event.
The money raised from this event will go towards supporting our Art Room, including supplies, equipment and larger art room needs. Funds will also contribute towards our P&F’s major fundraising initiative, the resurfacing of the softfall which will create a safer and exciting new play space for the children which we are hopeful will be undertaken at the end of this year! We sincerely thank our wonderful parents and wider community for your generous donations and contributions towards this event. Every contribution makes a difference, with funds raised going directly back into supporting our students and enhancing their learning experiences at St Joseph’s.
I would also like to congratulate and thank Hugo in Year 1MJ for his drawing of Claude Monet, which is featured on our invitation. This invitation will also be sent to our local kindergartens.
Thank you to Niki for all of your hard work with our kinder partnerships. Niki and I have been busy creating artworks with the kinder four-year-old groups, and these artworks will also be displayed at our art show!
We look forward to a wonderful evening!
I wish you all a lovely school holiday break.
Kindest Regards,
Marta Cummings
