Principal's Message
Thank you to our school community
As we come to the end of Term 3, I would like to thank everyone for making this such a memorable term.
Highlights have included the Student Art Show, Year 3 Dance Gala, the Ski Camp at Mt Buller, District sports events, the Year 6 buddy program with Appletree Kindergarten, the Year 4 buddy program with Little Genius, the Maths Olympiad, Student led conferences, Science Week, Book Week, incursions and excursions, and of course, the Year 5 Production.
A special thank you goes to our dedicated staff for all that they do to provide students with a rich and engaging learning program.
We wish you and your families an enjoyable holiday break and look forward to welcoming everyone back for the first day of Term 4 on Monday 5 October.
Term 4 is a SunSmart term so please make sure your child has their school hat ready for the first day back.
Year 5 Production
Congratulations to our Year 5 students for their singing, dancing and acting in this week’s performances of High School Musical at Rowville Secondary College. The two evening performances were outstanding and highlighted the depth of talent we have here at Mount View.
This experience provided our students with a special opportunity to develop their performing arts skills, work collaboratively, and perform live in front of an audience.
I extend my sincere thanks to our Performing Arts Teachers, Ms Dimatina and Mrs Barron. They had a clear vision and worked tirelessly to support every student to perform at their best. Huge thanks to the Year 5 team for their work behind the scenes and to our team of teachers and support staff throughout the school who have helped with choreography, make up, props, truck driving and backstage support.
Student Free Day
Please note that Monday 2 November is a student free day. This is the day before the Melbourne Cup public holiday. Their Care will be running a full day program on Monday 2 November.
Colour Run
The inaugural Mount View Colour Run will be held at school on Wednesday 18 November. This will be our major fundraising event for the year, and families will be provided with a special fundraising link early next term.
We will be looking for parent volunteers to assist us on the day to support the smooth running of the event which will include a community BBQ.
Planning for 2027
We have started planning for 2027 so please contact the school office as soon as possible if your child will attend another school for next year.
