From the Principal's desk

Our 3-6 students had a great time at Quantum this week. They have also enjoyed the Project Rockit sessions today. Please talk to your child about what they learnt. Our P-3 students have also participated in the body safe, DITTO presentation this week.

2026 Prep Enrolments

Current families with a child at Numurkah PS who will commence Prep in 2026 are encouraged to pick up an enrolment pack from the office. 

If you know of anyone looking to enrol at Numurkah PS for 2026 or still undecided, please encourage them to give the office a call or come in for a chat and a tour of the school.

The transition sessions have been very successful so far. Thank you to Ms McDonald and Ms Gray.

SunSmart

In-line with our SunSmart policy, all students must wear a bottle green broadbrim or bucket hat when outside during Terms 1 and 4. There are still a number of students who are not wearing hats. If your child cannot find their school hat, these are available from SPORTF1RST to purchase. Students who do not have a hat will need to stay under the shade at recess and lunch times. I would like to ask all families to please ensure sunscreen is applied before coming to school.

2026 Class selections

I would like to provide you with the opportunity to inform us of any needs relating to your child regarding their class placement for the Year 2026. The information provided will be treated confidentially and will be considered along with the many other factors, which must also be considered in the structuring of classes. (eg gender balance, work & social issues between children, staffing, budget, etc)

If your child has a special need, please collect a form from the office and complete with as much detail as needed. This will need to be returned in the attached confidential envelope, by Friday 14th November 2025.

Requests will then be followed up with you, through verbal discussion either by phone or appointment, if further clarification is needed.

Year 3/4 Camp - Murray Life Adventures

The students are very excited to be heading off on Wednesday, November the 5th. Please make sure we have all forms and medications. All medications must be in original packaging with a pharmacy label stating the students name and dosage required. Thank you for your support with this.

AFL Max

I have been lucky enough to book 30 year 5 and 6 students in to visit the new AFL Max centre on the 27th of November in Melbourne. I will send out a Compass message to families next week, requesting an expression of interest. If we receive more than 30 applications a selection process will occur.
