Dear Parents and Carers,
Rehearsals for our upcoming musical production 'Danger Kids' are progressing well. Students are looking forward to the culmination of their hard work, as they perform their show on Thursday evening September 26, at Manilla Town Hall commencing at 6.30 p.m. We look forward to a wonderful night. All students in Years 3-6 are involved with K-2 students getting their time to shine closer to Christmas in our Christmas Pageant. A special shout out to staff members Kate Holden and Jodie Herden who are working extremely hard to ensure our night is a great success.
This week we welcomed Harry Austin into our Year 4 class. Harry has joined us after relocating from Ebor. Welcome Harry and we hope you enjoy your time at St Michael's.
Today, Miller Burke is competing at the Polding Athletics Carnival being held in Glendale. Miller is competing in the High Jump. All the best Miller. What a wonderful achievement and from all accounts the first student from St Michael's to represent in High Jump.
Yesterday, you would have received your school photograph package. This year we changed providers, which we feel has been very successful. If you have any feedback regarding the school photographs, good or bad, please feel free to contact the office. Your feedback will be appreciated.
A reminder that all children must display respectful and safe behaviour while travelling to and from school on the bus. It is the right of the driver and passengers to have a calm and safe journey to and from school. If your child does not meet the expectations of the bus company, bus travel can be withheld and another form of transport to and from school will need to be provided by parents and carers. Please take the time to remind your child/ren of the importance of safe bus travel. You assistance will be greatly appreciated.
A reminder that all children should be wearing navy socks everyday and black school shoes on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. All uniform items except shoes are available at the school.
Many thanks to the parents and carers who were able to attend our P&F Meeting on Wednesday afternoon. Once again, there was a good uptake and the next meeting will be November 13 at 3.15 p.m. in the staffroom. We look forward to seeing you then.
Enjoy a wonderful weekend,
Bronwyn
