Dear Parents and Carers,
I trust you are well as we enjoy a colder than usual Tulip Time weekend.
We thank the 80 parents who attended the presentation of the Best Use of Time Insights Report and College Response on Monday this week. We now release to all families the detailed Insights Report, together with the accompanying 8 Appendices, and the College Response. Please click here to access the full report.
If you have any questions after reading the report, the Action Research email address actionresearch@chevalier.nsw.edu.au remains open.
Wishing you an enjoyable weekend,

This week, students in Years 9 to 11 were invited to drop-in sessions in the Library during Breaks 1 and 2 (Monday to Friday) to seek assistance from Ms Gillespie and Ms Kirby to complete some or all of the credential.
Students were also advised, via Student Notices, that the next parent webinar is scheduled for 23 September. As such, this message is to remind parents and students of the process for qualifying to learn from home on ‘Flipped Mondays’:

Summer is fast approaching, and students are required to return to school for Term 4 in their summer uniforms.
Please visit the Chev Shop during the term time opening hours or during the holiday break. Please visit the Chev Shop website for shop opening hours, price lists or further information.
You can also call and place an order on 4861 0540 and we will assist your child in sizing where required.
Year 7 2025 students have the opportunity in January 2025 to come in and be fitted for their uniform. Families will receive an email later in the year, with a link to schedule a 30 minute appointment between Monday 13 January and Friday 17 January. Alternatively, families can come in between Monday 20 and Friday 24 January without an appointment.
If families are away during January, we would suggest coming to the clothing shop in early November, on Thursday and Fridays during normal term time opening hours, no appointment necessary. Please note the last day of trading for 2024, due to stocktake is Thursday 22 November.
As previously communicated, a College backpack has been introduced, commencing in 2024 for students in Year 7. From 2025, the College backpack will be mandatory for all students with the exception of Year 12.
Airopak – $80.00
The Chiropak – $120
Please note we have ordered only a small amount of the Chiropak due to the increased cost. If this is your preference please call and purchase your child’s bag. If more are required we will take your name and number and contact you once they arrive.
Invitations have now been sent via email to students and parents of students receiving an award at the Extra Curricular Awards night. Invitations have been sent from ‘Chevalier Extra Curricular’. Please check your junk mail folder if your child has received an email and you have not.
We look forward to celebrating student achievements on the night.
We are currently seeking parents, carers, or family members who are willing to support the college summer sports program as referees or umpires in basketball, cricket, or touch football.
Individuals who are not accredited but wish to assist are encouraged to express their interest, as there are several accreditation courses planned for the coming weeks.
