RIPPSTOCK CARNIVAL - WE WANT YOU!

Today marks one month until the biggest event on our school calendar. Without volunteers we can not make this event happen.

If you haven’t put your name down to help out on the day, now is the time to sign up – we need your help!

Get on the tongs and help out our BBQ crew serve the best sizzling sausages in Melbourne.

All it takes is 2 hours of your time to help make this Ripponlea’s best event yet and raise much-needed funds for the junior playground upgrade!

Sign up now and join the fun.

Make some dough for Rippstock

Do you know your way around a piping bag, rolling pin or a whisk? Are you a freak when it comes to friands? A monster at macarons? If so, we want your skills!

Last carnival our bake sale was the talk of the town and this year will be no different…Let us know what baked treats you’ll be donating by emailing nataliemkondzic@gmail.com

Packaging and ingredient tags will be available for pick-up from the office from 18-29 November.

Calling All Talented Ripper Parents

If you'd like to get on stage and share your talent we'd love for you to contact Skye Holcombe Henley at skyefhh@gmail.com - we are looking for singers, musicians, dancers, whatever talent you'd like to share!

Pots & plants – for a greener carnival

Do you have a blooming garden to share? We’re on the hunt for lovely cuttings to be potted and sold at the carnival.

And if you’ve got a little pot or cute teacup with saucer to donate – we’d love this for potting. Contact Lynn Hendrix (lynniehendrix@gmail.com) or drop your donations at the office today.

Rippstock Wine & Chocolate

During your next Dan Murphy’s or Coles shop, grab an extra few bottles of wine and / or individually wrapped choccies and drop them off at reception.

They don’t need to be at any particular price point - just grab whatever you can.

We’ll take it all!

We are also hoping for volunteers to help with the stall, so grab your bestie and put your names down on our volunteer list

Ripponlea’s Got Talent

Thank you to all the children who auditioned for Ripper’s Got Talent! We were thrilled to see so many talented acts, and we’re excited to showcase their performances at the upcoming fete.

Your child will be bringing home a consent form for you to sign, giving them permission to perform on the day of the fete.

Closer to the event, we’ll share a schedule with the specific time slots for each performance. Please keep an eye out for these updates and ensure your child arrives on time for their moment in the spotlight.

Fill your class hamper to win!

As part of the festivities leading up to Rippstock next month, each class is putting together a fantastic hamper for our silent auction!

We’d love your help to fill these hampers with goodies! If you have any items that could make a great addition, such as chocolates, biscuits, dried fruit, or even wine, please drop them into the collection box in your child's classroom.

The class with the highest bid on their hamper will win a special prize, so let’s make these hampers shine!

Important Dates:

  • Box Collection Starts: 14 October 2024
  • Box Collection Ends: 8 November 2024
  • Carnival Date: 30 November 2024

Thank you for your support and creativity!

With Halloween just around the corner, we thought you might need some spooky treats to protect yourself from monsters!

This is why we’re organizing a new Cupcake Raffle.

As usual, tickets will cost 50 cents each and all the money will go to the great Year 6 Legacy Project. They will be drawn in the morning on Friday the 1st of November and the Monster and Spider cupcakes will be delivered to the winner at assembly that day.
