Principal's Message

ANZAC day assembly

On Friday 24th April, we held an ANZAC Day assembly with special community member Brendan B, an Australian Air Force veteran. We shared with the students the importance of mateship, endurance and courage. Courage is one of our school values, and ANZAC Day reminds us that courage can be shown in many ways,  standing up for others, trying new things, persevering through challenges and doing what is right even when it is difficult. Our student leaders led the assembly with confidence and pride, and all students showed great respect through their attentive listening and thoughtful participation. It was a terrific opportunity for our school community to reflect, remember and honour those who have served our country.

Open Morning and Cultural Diversity Day

We look forward to welcoming families to our Open Morning on Tuesday 19 May from 9am until 10am as a part of Education Week.

You are also invited to attend our special whole school Diversity Day celebration on Thursday 21 May. This is a highlight of the school calendar and reflects our commitment to international mindedness  as an IB PYP school. It is an opportunity for us to celebrate the rich diversity within our school and support students to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of different cultures and identities.

Please refer to the Compass news item which invites families to contribute to the day by completing the “Our Identity.” activity. This activity encourages students to share aspects of their cultural background, what they feel connected to, and something special about their culture - such as traditions, food, clothing, stories, songs or experiences.

Apply now to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) for 2027

All Victorian government primary schools follow a statewide timeline for enrolling in Foundation (Prep) for the 2027 school year.

If you have a child starting primary school in 2027, it’s time to enrol. Make sure to submit your enrolment application by Friday 31 July 2026.

If you are enrolling the sibling of a student at our school for Foundation in 2027, and both children will be attending our school at the same time, your child is prioritised for a place at our school.

It is important to submit your enrolment application to us on time as it will ensure your child is included in all transition activities if offered enrolment at our school. This also allows us to plan our classrooms, staffing and transition activities, and ensures your child has the best start to school.

Enrolling your child

If you would like to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) in 2027, you can  book a school tour https://www.trybooking.com/DKYAJ or book on the DE secure digital enrolment system called VicStudents. This means you can submit your Foundation (Prep) application online and receive updates through the system. If you have any questions about the online enrolment process, please contact our school.
